Surrey Park Footy Match

AMM was thrilled to be welcomed to Surrey Park Football Club training session to chat to the club about need to build and diversify the Aussie stem cell donor registry.

We also ran an awareness day at the club and, as well as enjoying a huge day of footy, we had Live Swabbing to join the Australian Stem Cell Donor Register!

Meet a Stem Cell Donor

We met Lisa when she dropped in to say hello at our Surrey Park live swabbing event. She shared her story with us of being a stem cell donor.

If you would like to know more about what it is actually like to donate stem cells and about why Lisa chose to donate - check out the video here!

Mark Meets Chris- the man who saved his life

A very memorable and emotional addition to Mark’s story. Mark got an opportunity to meet the man saved his life—not once, but twice.

Mark who was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2019, received a life-saving stem cell transplant in 2020. Out of 36 million potential donors worldwide, he found two matches—one of them was Chris.

Two years later, after exchanging countless text messages, Mark and Chris decided to meet in person. They chose Chris's hometown of Perth, at the stunning Kings Park.
